This three-year research project (01.02.2017–31.10.2020) investigated learning in new venture teams, focusing on how leadership, cognitive processes, and emotions interact to foster opportunity development and innovativeness in startup and corporate venture teams. Using a longitudinal event sampling study with 100 teams and a laboratory experiment with 150 student entrepreneurs, the project addressed gaps in team-level, emotional, and causal perspectives on entrepreneurial learning. Conducted in cooperation between ETH Zürich and the University of St. Gallen, the project generated insights valuable for both academic research and entrepreneurial practice.
