At the Institute of Responsible Innovation, Sustainability and Energy (RISE), we are proud to celebrate an important academic milestone: four outstanding scholars have successfully completed their Ph.D. in the International Affairs and Political Economy (DIA) programme at the University of St. Gallen.
Warmest congratulations to
Sabrina Mili
Juliane Seika
Katharina Reidl
Nina Zachlod
Earning a doctoral degree represents years of intellectual rigor, perseverance and dedication. These achievements reflect not only individual excellence, but also RISE’s commitment to advancing research at the intersection of responsible innovation, sustainability and energy.
Their doctoral journeys were supported by dedicated academic mentors:
Sabrina Mili and Katharina Reidl were supervised by RISE Co-Director Rolf Wüstenhagen
Juliane Seika was co-supervised by Rolf Wüstenhagen and Merla Kubli
Nina Zachlod was supervised by RISE Co-Director Charlotta Sirén
Such milestones are always the result of individual excellence embedded in a strong academic community. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the respective doctoral committees — Karsten Neuhoff, Eeva-Lotta Apajalahti, Karsten Kieckhäfer, Hans Auer, Roland Füss, Tina Freyburg and Dean Shepherd — for their valuable guidance and support.
We warmly congratulate our four new doctors and look forward to seeing how their research will continue to contribute to impactful scholarship and responsible leadership — in academia and beyond.
