ntuition plays a central role in decision-making under uncertainty, yet little is known about how intuitive behaviour can be systematically improved or transferred across different contexts.

In this seminar, Katharina Fellnhofer introduces the Intuition Amplifier, a novel behavioural training paradigm that conceptualizes intuition as a trainable calibration mechanism. The research investigates whether improving metacognitive calibration—the alignment between subjective confidence and objective accuracy—can strengthen intuitive behaviour in uncertain environments.

Drawing on pilot studies in mathematics and technology, the seminar presents initial findings on the opportunities and challenges of training intuitive behaviour. The results provide early evidence for the feasibility of the approach and lay the foundation for a broader research programme exploring how intuitive behaviour can be calibrated and transferred across decision contexts.
